As the stones heap over one another so the years pass by building a stock of knowledge & experience. With every pillar of experience we grow. To resemble this growth & spontaneity we witness to celebrate the birthday of our founder “Late Prof. S. Chatterjee”. We celebrate this special day on the 5th of February every year, within the school premises. The programme starts with the chorus song by students and teachers followed by welcoming of the chief guest & the special invitees. Gymnastics was also performed. The finishing attraction of the evening programme was a fine Dance Drama (Tasher Desh) of Rabindranath Tagore. The program ended up with a salute to the nation by singing the National Anthem by the members of our school DPI.
India got it's freedom from the British rule on 15th August, 1947. Hence we celebrate our Independence Day on 15th August every year in our school. We start the celebration by hoisting the tricolor national flag followed by the national anthem. Students participate in parade, followed by folk dances and traditional dances from all classes. Every year this day is celebrated with great pomp and show. We end the programme by distributing sweets to the children.
